Positivity Badges:
I wanted to create badges that people could wear to lighten up someone's day. Something that would bring a smile to their face. These badges are also very close to me as the type is my Older Sister's hand writing. She is autistic which makes her seem quite childish even though she is in her twenties. She loves Disney and is a bundle of joy! This is one of the reasons why I wanted to use her hand writing because it illustrates a young, vibrant energy. I wanted to demonstrate that even though we have our faults and difficulties, we should not let that stop us from being happy and accomplishing what we want to do.
I asked my sister if she could right out the alphabet with capitals first and lower capitals after. It was interesting to see that she would mix some capital letters with the lower capitals, for instance, her capital 'I' is just a bigger version of 'i'. I scanned the alphabet in and created these very simple but quirky badges on Illustrator.
